1. These are the Specific Rules to govern the marketing initiative called “BPWCCUL Experience your Best Summer - Secure Your $20,000” Campaign (hereinafter referred to as “2023 Summer Loan Promotion”) to promote and incentivize participants to apply for BPWCCUL Consumer Loan territory. These Specific Rules are to be read together with the BPWCCUL Terms and Conditions on Promotions.
2. The 2023 Summer Loan Promotion is organised and executed by the marketing and operations departments of Barbados Public Workers’ Co-operative Credit Union Limited (hereinafter called “BPWCCUL”), a Society incorporated under the provisions of the former Act as defined in the Co-operative Societies Act, CAP. 378A of the Laws of Barbados and continued under the provisions of the said Co-operative Societies Act and having its Registered Office situated at “Olive Trotman House”, Keith Bourne Complex, Belmont Road, St. Michael, Barbados .
3.  Important Terms and Definitions
   For the purposes set forth in these Specific Rules, the following definitions shall apply:

3.1 “Prize” means for the purposes of these specific promotion rules, exclusive benefit to BPWCCUL Members which include the chance to win an all-inclusive 7-night trip to Panama. Prize includes round trip airfare and accommodations with breakfast included for 1 member plus a companion.

3.2 “All-inclusive” for the purpose of these specific promotion rules, infers that BPWCCUL will only cover the round trip airfare and accommodation with breakfast included for the winner and their guest.

3.3 "Participants” refers to any member of BPWCCUL over 18 years of age, domiciled in Barbados, who are BPWCCUL Members, who submit a loan application and it was approved and disbursed during the Participation Period. Those who declare that by deciding to participate in the Promotion are accepting the Terms and Conditions of the Promotion and state that they know and accept the conditions, obligations and limitations set forth therein.

3.4 “Participation Period” refers to the period in which Participants must make transactions to participate in the Promotion, scheduled to begin on July 17th, 2023, at 0:00 hours until September 30th, 2023, at 23:59 hours.

4. Entry Requirements for Summer Loan Promotion

4.1 Participants should submit their loan applications should be submitted in branch or via the BPWCCUL website or via e-mail during the Participation Period.

4.2 Loan applications for a minimum loan amount of One Thousand Barbadian Dollars ($1,000.00 BBD) is required to be eligible.

4.3 Entry into the “2023 Summer Loan Promotion” is automatic upon the approval and disbursement of the loan.

4.4 Only members whose loans have been approved and disbursed during the Participation Period will be automatically be entered and eligible for the 2023 Summer Loan Promotion.

4.5 Participants should submit their loan application via in branch, online loan application or email. Participants enter for a chance to win a 7-night flight to Padma including round trip air fare and accommodations for 1 member a companion.

5. Prize

5.1 Participants are automatically entered for a chance to win a 7- day trip to Panama. The trip includes round trip airfare and accommodation with breakfast included for 1 successful applicant plus 1 companion of their choosing.

5.2 Winner must travel between January 13th, 2024 and June 30th, 2024.

Bookings should be made through DMA Value Vacations Travel and Tours no later than two weeks after receiving notice of being selected as the winner.

6. ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS

6.1 Only Members of BPWCCUL are eligible to participate in the 2023 Summer Loan Promotion.

7. EXCLUSIONS TO PARTICIPATION IN “2023 SUMMER LOAN PROMOTION”:

7.1 BPWCCUL employees, Board Directors or Members of the Credit and Supervisory Committees are not eligible to win the promotion prize.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY.

8.1 BPWCCUL will not be responsible for any difficulties that may arise at the time of submission of loan application.

9. Redemption of the Prize and Queries about the Promotion

9.1 Any doubt, question, complaint, or claim related to the mechanics of the Promotion or for the redemption of the Prize will be answered through the e-mail marketing@bpwccul.bb.

10.  APPLICABLE LAW.

10.1 Participants acknowledge and agree that the applicable law for any dispute arising in connection with the Promotion shall be the law of Barbados and waive their right to initiate any claim in any other jurisdiction.

11.  DISCLOSURE

11.1 These Specific Rules and the Terms and Conditions of BPWCCUL’s 2023 Summer Loan Promotion are available for consultation during the Participation Period at https://publicworkers.bb/seasonal-loans.html
