Transfers are processed instantly — as soon as you submit the instruction, the funds are on their way. Co-Optima Pay is available 24/7, including weekends and public holidays.
There is currently no charge for standard use of Co-Optima Pay. A fee schedule is available on our website, in the app, and at any branch. We’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice before any fees are introduced.
The daily limit is BBD $5,000.00. This covers all transfers made in a single day, including any pending transfers.
An Alias is an email address or mobile number linked to your account. It lets people send you money without needing your account number — it’s a privacy-friendly way to receive payments.
Unfortunately, Co-Optima Pay processes transfers based on the details you enter. Always double-check the Alias or account details before confirming. If you believe a transaction was incorrect, report it to us immediately — we’ll investigate promptly.
If you receive funds that aren’t yours, you must return them within 5 IPS Business Days of being notified by BPWCCUL. If you’re unable to, contact us to discuss a repayment arrangement.
Yes. All transactions are encrypted and transmitted over secure links. BPWCCUL follows the security standards required under the National Payment System Act. Your job is to keep your login credentials private and never share them with anyone.
Contact BPWCCUL immediately using the details on our website or in the app. You must notify us no later than 3 months after any transaction you believe was unauthorised.
No. Co-Optima Pay currently only supports transfers in Barbadian Dollars to accounts at financial institutions in Barbados.
The BiMPay Wallet is a separate app operated by the Central Bank of Barbados. Use as an alternative for Tap to Pay purchases and transfer funds to and from external wallets.
Complete a Dispute Form — available in the Co-Optima Pay app, on the BPWCCUL website, or at any branch. Submit it as soon as possible and no later than 3 months after the transaction date. We’ll refund you provisionally within one IPS Business Day while we investigate.
Email us at coop_payqueries@bpwccul.bb, submit through Online Banking or the Mobile App, or visit any branch. We’ll acknowledge your complaint within 3 IPS Business Days and respond fully within 15 IPS Business Days.
Yes. You can terminate the service by giving one month’s written notice. This is free of charge unless the service has been active for less than 6 months. Any remaining balance will be transferred to another share on your BPWCCUL account.
BPWCCUL handles your data under the Data Protection Act of Barbados and the NPA. Your data may be shared with regulatory bodies (like the Central Bank) as required by law. Full details are in the Privacy Notice at publicworkers.bb.
