Whistleblowing We are pleased to inform you that the Credit Union is at the end-point of implementation of its whistleblowing tool, designed for the secure and anonymous reporting of concerns – initially by staff and ultimately by anyone. Our partner in this endeavour, Navex Global, is a renowned whistleblowing service provider and a trailblazer in offering whistleblower hotlines, helplines, and web-based reporting services. Navex Global boasts an unparalleled network of employee hotlines and advanced incident reporting methods, making it a reliable ally in our continuous pursuit of ensuring adherence to the highest standards of integrity and transparency.Through this collaboration, we will be well-equipped to address potential misconduct using various confidential channels, including a multilingual contact centre, web reporting, and anonymous reporting from employees, Board of Directors’ Report (Continued) investigations, or audits. This whistleblowing framework is in alignment with the Whistleblower Protection Act, 2021-29, which aims to discourage and combat corruption and other unethical practices while safeguarding the individuals who report such activities. Lower Broad Street Premises Update After a comprehensive Request for Proposal (RFP) process that began in the first quarter of the reporting period, targeting a diverse group of qualified experts, the Lower Broad Street project officially commenced in the third quarter. The project kicked off with the selection, appointment, and onboarding of the Architectural Services and Quantity Surveying Consultants, which was followed by the on boarding of the Mechanical/Electrical Services Engineers and Civil/ Structural Engineers completing the Design Team’s composition. The current team consists of the following reputable firms: • ARGO Development Studio Inc. – Design • Cooper Kauffman Consultancy – Quantity Surveyors • Professional Engineering Services Ltd. - Civil/ Structural Engineers • Electrical & Mechanical Consulting Engineers Ltd. - Mechanical/Electrical Services • BPWCCUL’s in-house Project Management Office is spearheading the project management aspects. The Architectural Team has submitted three design options, which are currently undergoing a thorough evaluation by the Engineering Teams to assess their viability. Concurrently, the Structural Engineering team is conducting assessments and analysis of the existing building structure. The Quantity Surveying Firm is diligently working on establishing a Project Budget based on the proposed design options. We will continue to keep you updated.
